The farmhouse has just been refurbished with love and care retaining
some
of the original features but including the comforts of the 21st
century.
Our

where walking,
riding, fishing, shooting and exploring can become a pleasure
to enjoy.
This can be arranged prior to your visit if required.
The Doone Valley, Lynton and Lynmouth, the market towns of Barnstaple
and South Molton,
the picturesque North Devon coastline and sandy beaches are close
by.
There are many excellent local pubs nearby for a quiet drink or

This unusual feature adds a warm welcome after your day exploring
Exmoor.

The twin bedroom |
We
offer double and twin rooms with central heating, TV, Tea/Coffee
making facilities and
en-suite bathrooms. These rooms have stunning views.

The
period farmhouse dates back to Roman times and the
word 'Ball' is the Roman for 'Round Hill'. The old race course
ground used for chariot races
is still on the farm. We are on the old Roman road to North Molton
Hill and were the first
settlement on the S.W. side of ExmoorNational Park.

We
have approx. 25-40 deer permanently living on the farm.
There is an abundance of wildlife
for you to enjoy
|
|
|
Foxes,
buzzards, owls, woodcock,
snipe, badgers, butterfly are all
abundant on the farm and the 30
acre ancient oak woodland.
Moorland
trout can be seen in the fast flowing stream with its picturesque
waterfalls.

Some
of these pictures were taken by Johnny Kingdom a local wildlife
photographer.
You may have seen his wildlife programmes on television or his
videos for sale.
Over the years he has taken many thousands of guests on
'wildlife safaris' to see the red deer and wildlife of Exmoor.
